Wireman – Midlands
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a qualified Wireman with hands-on experience working on at least 33kV systems. You will be responsible for wiring, installing, and testing HV systems across various industrial and utility projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and terminate HV cables and control wiring on 33kV+ systems.
* Read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings.
* Work with switchgear, transformers, and protection panels.
* Carry out testing and commissioning alongside engineering teams.
* Maintain compliance with HSE standards and electrical safety regulations.
* Complete job documentation and site reports.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Wireman on 33kV or higher voltage networks.
* Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, C&G 2365/2357).
* Experience in substations and HV environments.
* Strong knowledge of control, protection, and HV equipment.
* Full UK driving licence.
