Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineering Estimator on behalf of a large £4bn turnover main contractor to work across their extremely positive looking AMP8 workload. This contractor has just ticked off a very successful AMP7 period with over 5 Water clients nationwide and are growing further in their capabilities!

With the early sight of large projects in United Utilities they're looking to strengthen their Estimating team to mainly support that work stream. Also potential involvement within Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water & more! This role would give someone the opportunity for fully remote working from home, realistic progression in a regional business unit and to benefit from this contractors priorities with well-being & development.

Projects are mainly full Water Treatment Works upgrades up to £60m+ individual values. Also combined sewer overflows, storm tanks and other varied heavy infrastructure projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Leading estimating process from receiving documents to handover to delivery

* Organise bids and pricing of projects at all stages

* Commercial appraisal of subcontract quotations and materials

* Selection of sub-contractors

* Raise Technical Queries and ensure design is accurate & feasible to ensure relevant costing

* Prepare estimating bid team meetings & final settlement

* Use of specialist estimating software such as RIB Candy or similar

* Working daily with contracts so must ideally have knowledge of NEC, ICE and IChemE

Experience required:

* Must have experience as Estimator or Senior Estimator on heavy civil engineering schemes for United Utilities or a similar Water client

* Must have experience working within Waste or Clean water treatment

* Beneficial: Degree, HNC/HNC qualified in Construction or Civil Engineering related subject

Remuneration:

A salary of up to £86,000 (dependant upon experience) plus:

Electric / Hybrid Vehicle scheme or car allowance, fuel expenses, 26 days + statutory annual leave - can buy or sell up to 5 days, family healthcare, 7.5% matched pension scheme and access to an industry-leading additional benefits package from day one!
