Overview
Our client is an expanding engineering business working on industrial water treatment systems for both pure and wastewater applications across the UK and internationally. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their design team, focusing on producing P&IDs, layouts, and general arrangement drawings, as well as developing 3D design libraries.
This is a great opportunity for either an early-career engineer or someone with a couple of years’ design experience who is keen to build their expertise in a specialist sector.
Key Responsibilities
*
Create detailed and accurate mechanical design drawings to support project delivery.
*
Develop and maintain a 3D library of standard plant components.
*
Liaise with clients on design details and requirements.
*
Carry out quality checks and validation of manufactured designs.
Candidate Requirements
*
Proficient in Solidworks.
*
Experience with AutoCAD LT or similar recognised drawing software.
*
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
*
Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering preferred but not essential.
*
Suitable for graduates or those with 1–2 years’ relevant experience.
