Description

An experienced Sheet Metal Worker is required to play a vital role in the manufacture of high-quality aerospace components, supporting key programmes across both civil and defence sectors. We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker with a background in aerospace or defence to contribute to the production of precision parts made to exacting standards.

You’ll work with thin gauge aluminium, using various forming methods and tools, and be responsible for ensuring all work meets tight tolerances and stringent quality requirements.

Main duties of The Sheet Metal Worker:

Fabricate and form aerospace components using techniques such as:

*

Rubber press

*

Hand forming

*

Profiling formed parts

*

Wheeling

*

Work primarily with thin gauge aluminium materials.

*

Interpret and follow engineering drawings, job cards, and process instructions accurately.

*

Ensure the correct use of calibrated tools and maintain adherence to quality control procedures.

*

Follow internal production processes and operate within industry standards for safety and cleanliness, including 5S principles.

*

Produce components to tight tolerances and high visual and dimensional quality.

What is required of The Sheet Metal Worker:

*

Experience working in aerospace or defence sheet metal fabrication is essential.

*

Confident in reading and understanding technical and engineering drawings.

*

Skilled in manual and press forming techniques, particularly with aluminium sheet.

*

Strong focus on quality, precision, and safety.

*

Familiarity with working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
