Description

Drug and Alcohol Recovery Worker – Glasgow (£18.00 per hour)

Belmont Recruitment are on the lookout for seasoned Recovery Practitioners to join a well-regarded Substance Misuse Charity delivering vital outreach support across Glasgow. This is a contract opportunity offering meaningful work within the community, supporting individuals navigating the challenges of addiction.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering structured 1:1 sessions and group-based interventions to individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse

*

Creating and maintaining personalised, recovery-orientated support plans tailored to each client’s aspirations

*

Collaborating closely with clinical staff, housing organisations, and social care professionals to ensure joined-up support

*

Providing harm minimisation guidance, relapse prevention techniques, and ongoing motivational input

*

Supporting service users with housing stability, benefit applications, and reintegration into the local community

*

Maintaining thorough case records and contributing to safeguarding efforts where appropriate

We’re keen to hear from candidates with prior experience in substance misuse servicese specially those familiar with psychosocial approaches, trauma-informed support, or housing-related interventions
