Property Services Manage
London (Hybrid with UK Travel)

The Role:

Lead property maintenance & compliance strategy

Manage budgets, servicing & statutory inspections
*
Negotiate & oversee property service contracts
*
Advise leadership on property strategy & valuations
*
Line manage team members & external contractors
About You:

Property qualification with portfolio management experience
*
Strong knowledge of legislation & compliance
*
Excellent communicator & negotiator
*
Able to travel across the UK
*
Full UK driving licence

Further Criteria:
Hold an appropriate professional qualification and have experience of leading and managing a property portfolio across a housing or commercial environment.
2. Detailed knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to building management and maintenance.
3. Experience in negotiating property contracts, undertaking and preparing reports on valuation of property.
4. Strong negotiating skills – including having confident and persuasive conversations with surveyors, contractors, and tenants.
5. Prepared to travel to properties across the UK.
6. Understand the wider strategic Housing environment across the UK, including the devolved nations, and its implications on the services delivered by the Fund.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, especially where solutions are not always transparent.
8. Excellent time management skills; able to prioritise and manage a varying and busy workload.
9. Effective communication and negotiation skills at all levels of the organisation and with beneficiaries.
10. Competent in the use of computerised information and management systems including IT packages and proficiency with Microsoft’s Word, Excel and Power Point.
11. Clean driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes.
12. DBS clearance (or ability to obtain it, i.e. no personal history that would preclude it).
13. Candidates will need to be able to highlight how they develop rapport with tenants, and the volunteer tenant and housing committee groups
