SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced special needs school in Wandsworth, set within stunning grounds. This is a term-time only role, offering flexibility, unique paid training opportunities, a supportive environment, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to children's lives.

About the Role

We're looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to support pupils with autism (ASD) and other special educational needs.
As part of the team, you will:

Work closely with primary-aged pupils using individualised learning strategies.

Build trusting, positive relationships to help pupils thrive socially and academically.

Provide personal care support while maintaining dignity and independence.

Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create inclusive learning experiences.

Support classroom routines and use specialised equipment where required.

Observe, record and report on pupil progress to inform personalised learning plans.

Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement throughout the day.

🙌 About You

We're seeking motivated, compassionate people who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

You should have:

Experience supporting pupils with autism or other additional needs.

Background working in primary education (preferred).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A proactive, patient and resilient attitude.

Willingness to assist with personal care when required.

Team Teach training (or willingness to complete).

Familiarity with Makaton or positive behaviour approaches (training available).
