Description

A busy and growing Engineering Consultancy is looking for a Civil Engineer with at least two years' experience to join the team. The company works on a mix of projects across Heritage, Civil, Structural, Bridge and Conservation Engineering, as well as Surveying, Cost Consultancy and Project Management. It's a friendly and supportive place to work, with plenty of opportunities to learn, take responsibility and get involved in interesting projects from day one.

The company has delivered a wide variety of projects that make a real difference to local communities and the built environment. Recent work has included improvements to education facilities, large-scale infrastructure and flood defence schemes, as well as commercial and residential developments. The projects are diverse, technically interesting and often involve close collaboration with architects, contractors and local authorities. Joining the team means getting involved in work that is both challenging and rewarding, with the chance to see your designs come to life and have a positive impact on the places where people live, learn and work.

The role involves working on a wide range of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, infrastructure and site development. You'll be helping with design work, preparing drawings, reports and calculations, and getting out on site when needed. There's plenty of variety, and you'll be working closely with clients, contractors and other engineers to get projects delivered on time and to a high standard.

We're looking for someone with a degree in Civil Engineering and at least two years' hands-on experience in a similar role. You should be comfortable using design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Info/MicroDrainage and have a good understanding of how civil engineering projects come together. Good communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload are important, as is a positive, can-do attitude.

In return, you'll get a competitive salary, support towards professional development and chartership, and the chance to work on a wide range of projects that will help you build your skills and experience. The team is approachable and collaborative, and you'll be encouraged to share ideas and get involved in shaping the work you do.
