Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Schools Across Bexley

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the patience, empathy, and resilience to support students in overcoming barriers to learning? We are seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Bexley.

About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students develop positive attitudes, manage their emotions, and engage effectively with learning. Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEN staff, you will support students on a one-to-one and small-group basis-encouraging progress, building confidence, and promoting good behaviour throughout the school day.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting students in managing challenging behaviours and developing social-emotional skills.

Building strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and resilience.

Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure consistent behaviour support strategies.

Acting as a positive role model and fostering a safe, respectful learning environment.

Tracking progress and providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate.
