Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer Multi-skilled

The successful applicant will undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Ripley.

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering manager you will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive mechanical & electrical maintenance activities at a busy plastic manufacturing plant.
Duties will include but is not limited to;

Mechanical fault find and repair of extruders, injection moulders, overhead cranes, mixing plant, granulators and more
Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors, pumps etc etc
Hydraulics, pneumatics,
3-phase electrical fault find and repair, contactors, sensors, relays etc etc
plc fault find and repair
Welding fabrication and toolroom work
Some facilities maintenanceCandidate:

The successful candidate will be a competent mechanical & electrical engineer with good 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills.

Ideally you will have previous maintenance experience ideally in a heavy industry or plastic manufacturing environment.

We are seeking applicants who have a recognised qualification in engineering and you must have 17th or 18th edition electrical wiring regs certification. .

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday days 40 Hours
Overtime available

Benefits:

Competitive basic salary £45K - £50K neg + OT
28 Days annual leave
