Detail Finisher – Precision / Aerospace Manufacturing

Fareham, Hampshire

Salary: £28,217 - £14.28 per hour based on 38 hours a week. REALISTIC OVERTIME?

Do you enjoy hands-on precision work, polishing, deburring and bringing machined parts to perfection? We’re recruiting for a long-established aerospace manufacturer near Fareham offering permanent, stable employment with excellent prospects for development.

As a Detail Finisher, you’ll work on precision-engineered components produced to the highest aerospace standards (AS9100). Using a variety of tools such as micro-motors, polishing wheels, grinders and needle files, you’ll deburr, finish and inspect parts to tight tolerances (to ±0.05mm) and fine surface finishes (to 0.8µm).

You’ll visually inspect batches under magnification, carry out minor cosmetic repairs, and ensure each component meets drawing and customer requirements. You’ll also play a part in maintaining documentation, packaging finished parts correctly, and contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.

What do I need?

We’re looking for someone with experience in finishing, deburring, polishing or working on machined components — ideally within manufacturing, precision engineering, or aerospace.

However, if you’ve worked with plastics or composites and are keen to develop your skills on metals, training can be provided.

You’ll have a good eye for detail, steady hands, and a genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
