We are working on behalf of an independent fostering agency dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people. About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join the thriving South West region. You will play a crucial role in supporting our foster carers and ensuring the highest quality of care for children in their placement.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster Carer Support: Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to a caseload of up to 10 foster carers.
Child Welfare: Ensure the well-being and safety of children in placement, adhering to all relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
Form F Assessments: Conduct thorough Form F assessments of prospective foster carers.
Caseload Development: Grow your caseload through proactive recruitment and fostering strong relationships with potential carers.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of care by ensuring all carers meet statutory KPIs and gather evidence to demonstrate positive outcomes for children.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educational staff.
Out-of-Hours Responsibilities: Participate in an on-call rota (1:6 weeks) to provide support and guidance to carers and children.
About You

Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
Proven experience as a Supervising Social Worker within an independent fostering agency (IFA) is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of fostering regulations, child protection legislation, and relevant safeguarding procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with foster carers.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
