About the role

Source Supply are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in a Sheffield based School that caters for young people aged 7 to 16 that may have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings.

If you have experience as a Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Youth Offending Worker, have a Psychology Degree or have worked with Young people or adults with Special Educational needs or any other relevant experience you can transition into school then we want to hear from you!

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with young people that may display behaviours that challenge and emotional dysregulation.

This role requires an engaging, nurturing, proactive, adaptable, resilient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with great communication skills and a want to make a difference in young people’s lives.

You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach in all they do. The school work tirelessly to make sure each of their pupils achieve their potential.

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

* Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting

* A nurturing, patient and consistent approach

* Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.

* Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.

* Be an excellent communicator with a positive, cando attitude.

* Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.

* Be willing to travel to different sites around the city
