Are you a confident and experienced Technical Manager ready to lead the design delivery of a landmark project? This is your opportunity to join a Tier 1 residential developer on a 12-year, multi-phase scheme in Surrey – one of the South East’s most ambitious and transformative developments.

The Project This long-term scheme will deliver thousands of new homes, schools, green spaces, and community facilities over the next decade. With multiple phases in planning, design, and delivery, you’ll be joining at a pivotal time with real opportunity to make your mark.

The Role As Technical Manager, you will oversee the design and technical coordination across several phases of the development. Reporting into the Head of Technical, your key responsibilities will include:

Leading the management of architectural, structural, and M&E designs
Ensuring compliance with planning approvals, building regulations, and NHBC standards
Managing external consultants and technical coordinators
Supporting procurement, construction, and sales teams with accurate design information
Driving design efficiency and buildability while maintaining quality
About You
Proven experience as a Technical Manager (or strong Senior Technical Coordinator ready to step up)
Background in residential development – either with a housebuilder, developer, or consultancy
Excellent knowledge of UK planning system, building regulations, and technical standards
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to deadlines
