Project Engineer (Contract)

📍 Location: Glasgow, Scotland
💷 Rate: £350-£400 per day (Outside IR35)
🚀 Start Date: ASAP

A leading renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the redevelopment of a major biogas facility. This exciting project involves upgrading the plant to process 170,000 tonnes of distillery byproducts annually, producing 1MW of electricity and injecting biomethane into the local gas grid.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager in delivering the project on time and within budget.
Coordinate design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Manage programme constraints, design issues, contractor interfaces, and utility connections.
Monitor contractor progress and attend site meetings.
Contribute to commissioning and operational planning.
Report daily to the Project Manager and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

7+ years' experience in infrastructure construction projects.
Degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience with biomethane (Gas to Grid) projects is advantageous.
Strong understanding of turnkey construction scopes and contract management.
Familiarity with relevant legislation, codes, and standards.
