Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £33,075 to £50,471

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. What We’re Looking For:

A passionate educator with strong subject knowledge in History
Excellent communication skills to engage and motivate students
Experience with curriculum planning and student-centred teaching (desirable but not essential)
A degree in History, Humanities, Literature, Philosophy, or a related subject (or equivalent teaching experience)
Key Responsibilities:

Designing and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned History lessons
Supporting student learning through effective feedback and guidance
Tracking progress, setting goals, and adapting teaching methods to maximise achievement
Collaborating with colleagues across the department and school to enhance learning opportunities
