Quality/Goods-in Inspector - Wolverhampton

£12.74 - £14.30 per hour PAYE + 12.5% Shift (Double Days) + Overtime

Join a leading name in precision manufacturing, as they continue to grow and invest in quality. We're currently seeking a skilled and detail-focused Quality/Goods-in Inspector to support their inspection team in delivering to the highest standards.

About the Role

As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for carrying out both manual and CMM-based inspections to ensure components meet customer and engineering specifications.

This is a hands-on inspection role, ideal for someone experienced in engineering or manufacturing quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CMM machines using Metrosoft software for detailed component inspection.
Use manual inspection tools including thread gauges, gap gauges, micrometers, callipers, etc.
Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
Support quality assurance across production processes.
(Desirable): Perform visual weld inspections - prior experience is an advantage, but not essential.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Competence in CMM inspection - ideally with Wenzel (Metrosoft), but Mitutoyo or similar systems also highly valued.
Skilled in the use of standard inspection tools and techniques.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good communication and documentation skills.
