Design Engineer

Location: Meath, Ireland
Rate: €50,000 – 60,000 (DOE)

Bonus: Bonus paid (can be anywhere from €2-8k+ per annum)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop designs that meet exact specifications
Translate conceptual sales drawings into manufacturing-ready technical drawings
Use CREO to design large mechanical assemblies and components
Engineer equipment such as conveyors, support structures, and handling systems
Lead and participate in design reviews, value engineering, and product integration
Manage your own engineering projects—from specification and planning through to delivery
Liaise with customers, supply chain, and production to ensure seamless design-to-build handover
Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings that support production and installation

Design Engineer Experience:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

4+ years’ experience in mechanical design or systems engineering

Strong CREO skills (SolidWorks or AutoCAD also advantageous)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Track record of delivering complex projects to tight deadlines

Comfortable juggling multiple priorities under pressure
