Are you a passionate Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist looking to make a difference? Our client, a leading charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries, is seeking a talented therapist to join their team in Ipswich. With a focus on expert neurorehabilitation, the company supports individuals in regaining lost skills and achieving personal goals.

They operate assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals, providing expert care and support. Their neurological centre offers a safe and nurturing environment for individuals and families dealing with acquired brain injuries and various neurological conditions.

As a Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, you will:
Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
Assess and address communication impacts on daily life, providing appropriate interventions
Collaborate with individuals and their social networks to overcome communication barriers
Develop management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when necessary
Provide training to staff and the social networks of service users
Support eating, drinking, and swallowing needs under supervision
Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and complete reports
Contribute to service and organisational development

Annual salary of up to £42,803 (FTE)
Hours: 22.5hrs per week
38 days of annual leave (pro rata)

The ideal candidate for the Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist position will have:
A degree in Speech and Language Therapy
HCPC registration
Dysphagia competencies
Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI.
Ability to manage dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
At least 18 months of qualified experience in relevant neurological settings.
Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working within a multidisciplinary team.
