Location: West Byfleet, Surrey
Salary: Experience dependant
Start Date: ASAP

The Role:
Teaching Personnel is looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across a mainstream primary school within the West Byfleet area. This is a great opportunity to support the learning and development of students in a supportive and dynamic classroom environment. We are expecting various roles to crop up over the coming weeks and as a result are looking to expand our pool of staff.
The role would include working 1-1 with a Year 5 male student currently awaiting an EHCP. The boy requires regular movement breaks with learning in staggered parts at a manageable pace. The boy often spends lunchtime in a separate provision playing football with a small group.

Key Responsibilities:
-Providing 1:1 support to a student with additional learning needs.
-Helping to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
-Supporting the student in completing assigned work and encouraging independent learning.
-Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns to the class teacher.

Key Requirements:
-Passion for education and helping students succeed.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with young people.
-Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students.
-Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is important
-A willingness to learn and develop new skills (training can be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
