Description

Empowering Learning are recruiting an Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher to work in a special needs school in the Nottinghamshire. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is essential. QTS or QTLS is preferred but not essential as attitude and personality are absolutely key. The ability to teach the early years foundation stage curriculum and the knowledge of sensory lerning is essential also.

The ideal candidate will:

Class teacher experience (particularly in SEND)
Have the ability to teach EYFS/primary age pupils.
Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards.Main Responsibilities:

Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning.
Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
Possible supervising on lunch and break times
Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
Building relationships with staff and pupils
Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
Potentially lead in a subject area
Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carersBenefits of working with Empowering Learning:
