Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum plus benefits

Overview:

EC&I Partners are looking for a skilled and motivated Approved Electrician to join our clients maintenance team in Heysham. If you're a time-served electrician with a strong work ethic and desire to grow, this is your opportunity to step into a stable and rewarding role with training and development provided - including Compex certification if not already held.

Our clients are a global environmental services company specialising in waste management, recycling, and resource recovery. With operations in Europe and the Americas, they also work in life sciences, health and nutrition, and port services, all aimed at promoting sustainability and supporting a circular economy.

Responsibilities:

Maintain, test, and repair plant and equipment across the site.
Carry out electrical inspections (including hazardous areas) to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Undertake the duties of an Authorised Person Electrical AP (LV) to ensure that all electrical maintenance, system installations, testing and repairs are carried out efficiently and safely according to the current IEE regulations.
Respond to both planned and unplanned maintenance needs.
Support the operations team to reduce downtime and enhance performance.
Participate in an on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours issues when needed.

What You'll Need

Time-served apprenticeship (ECS/JIB registered)
18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
At least 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience (ideally in chemical, incineration, or power generation environments)
Full UK driving licence
CompEx certification (desirable - training can be provided)
City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 (Inspection & Testing - desirable)
Experience with PLCs / process control systems
IPAF or MEWP certification
