Job Title: NDT Level 2 Inspector
Location: Bolton
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting To: Quality Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NDT Level 2 Inspector to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-quality components to demanding industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled inspector with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance, working within a forward-thinking and safety-focused environment.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring all non-destructive testing (NDT) processes meet the highest standards, contributing directly to production quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with all Level II NDT certifications and company quality standards.

*

Perform inspections in accordance with customer specifications, procedures, and route cards.

*

Support production and quality teams to achieve monthly targets and departmental objectives.

*

Record and monitor inspection progress through the company’s MRP system.

*

Follow production priorities as directed by supervisors and ensure all work meets customer expectations.

*

Conduct product quality checks and report any non-conformances or deviations.

*

Participate in customer and internal meetings, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

*

Implement and monitor quality-control measures in line with QA directives, including corrective actions.

*

Collaborate effectively across departments to maintain smooth workflow and product traceability.

*

Assist in inspection and part marking duties as required.

*

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company procedures.

*

Promote best working practices and take ownership of workplace organisation within the inspection area.

Skills & Experience Required

*

Certified NDT Level 2 Inspector (UT, PT, MT, or equivalent).

*

Strong understanding of inspection processes within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings, route cards, and customer specifications.

*

Experience using MRP systems and documentation control.

*

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

*
