Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Croydon, Greater London
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant special needs school in Croydon, providing essential support to students with a range of additional learning needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work closely with students, offering one-to-one and small group support to enhance learning.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans.
Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment, promoting confidence and independence.
Support students with communication, sensory, and behavioral needs, using tailored approaches to aid their development.
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the needs of each student.

About You

To excel as a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Have experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or educational setting.
Be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting students with additional needs.
Possess excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Be adaptable, proactive, and able to engage with students of varying abilities.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
