CAD Engineer

Location: Tividale
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:15am–4:30pm | Friday 7:15am–12:15pm

The Role

We’re seeking a hands-on CAD Engineer to join their manufacturing team. This position involves creating and adapting technical drawings for CNC production — including waterjet and router cutting — and ensuring designs are accurately translated into high-quality finished products. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys being involved from design through to production testing, not just desk-based CAD work.

Key Responsibilities

Produce and adapt CAD drawings for CNC cutting (waterjet and router).
Convert technical drawings into precise cutting programs.
Collaborate closely with production teams to test and verify finished products.
Ensure designs meet manufacturing, performance, and quality standards.
Manage version control and maintain design accuracy.
Work with SolidWorks, AlfaCAM, or similar CAD/CAM software.
Understand material properties and manufacturing processes.
About You

Proven experience as a CAD Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in SolidWorks, AlfaCAM, or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
Knowledge of CNC cutting and machining processes.
Practical, hands-on approach with willingness to test and refine designs.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
