HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Location: Newark
Pay: £44,160
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Flexible – 4 on 4 off days, earlies/lates, or Monday to Friday days

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician who wants to work in a modern, well-maintained workshop with up-to-date equipment and a great team environment.

The role involves around 70% trailer work and 30% trucks, mainly on Scania, Volvo and DAF units with single deck trailers. You’ll be based in a 4 bay workshop on a large, well-organised site.

The facilities include trailer ramps, air jacks, brake rollers and cranes — everything an HGV Technician needs to do the job properly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers

* Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and accurately

* Prepare vehicles for MOTs and inspections

* Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment

* Work as part of a skilled and supportive team
