Academics are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Wandsworth, starting January 2026. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing support to the SEN pupils within the SEN provision within the school to ensure the children are receiving full support towards their development. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with an 'Good' Ofsted report, known for its nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to academic and personal development.

Location: Primary school in Wandsworth
Start Date: Janauary 2026
Role: Full time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £95-£110 (Dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:

Provide support to the SEN children in KS2/KS1 within the provision within the school.
1 to 1 and classroom support to various different pupils with different SEN.
Work with individual pupils to reinforce learning and help them reach their potential.
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to ensure a consistent and effective support approach.
Help with personal care tasks if required, such as feeding, toileting, or mobility support.The school benefits from onsite parking, local bus services drop you outside the school or it's a short walk from the local train station. The school offers children a fun and exciting curriculum that is enhanced with a superb range of extra-curricular clubs that fire up their imagination and learning experiences.
