Our client are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children and young people can thrive. Our residential home offers care, stability, and encouragement to help each child reach their full potential.

We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Children’s Home Manager to lead their team and uphold the highest standards of care and compliance.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the children’s home, ensuring it operates in line with Ofsted regulations and delivers outstanding outcomes for young people.

You will:

Provide effective leadership and management of the staff team.

*

Ensure the home meets all regulatory, safeguarding, and quality standards.

*

Create and maintain a warm, nurturing, and structured environment for residents.

*

Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with professionals and families.

*

Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and performance to ensure efficient operations.

*

Lead by example, promoting a culture of respect, resilience, and empowerment.

About You

You’ll be a dedicated professional with strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and a genuine commitment to improving children’s lives.

Essential Requirements:

*

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).

*

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial or deputy role within a children’s residential setting.

*

Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection.

*

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

*

Ability to inspire, motivate, and support a team.

Desirable:

*

Experience opening or improving a children’s home.

*

A proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
