We are seeking a Safeguarding Officer based in Lambeth, South East London, to work alongside the designated safeguarding lead to support children and families to ensure all statutory safeguarding requirements are met, helping children overcome challenges and achieve their best.

This is a full time role and you will be expected to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Your role will include:

Planning, delivering, and leading all safeguarding training and maintaining up-to-date records
Acting as the first point of contact for all safeguarding matters
Managing triage referrals and overseeing report writing
Liaising with health professionals to maintain accurate medical records
Providing information and advocacy for vulnerable families
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding practices and statutory requirements
Building trusting relationships with children, families, and staff
Maintaining confidentiality and respect in all interactionsWho we're looking for:

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Excellent communication and people skills
Practical, flexible, and non-judgemental approach to work
Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative
Managing and prioritising your own workload
Ability to assess situations and take appropriate action
Resilience in coping with unexpected and difficult situations
