Supply Teacher - SEN Schools in Lewisham

A welcoming network of SEN schools in Southwark is looking for flexible and passionate Supply Teachers to join their teams. These schools support pupils aged 4-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), offering inclusive environments where every child is valued.

What's on offer:

£140 - £165 per day (depending on experience)

Small class sizes with a strong focus on individual needs

Skilled Teaching Assistants supporting the Supply Teacher in class

The Role

This Supply Teacher role is ideal for experienced SEN specialists or mainstream teachers seeking to gain experience in SEN settings. You'll deliver engaging, personalised lessons, support pupils with a wide range of needs, and contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lessons that are engaging, differentiated, and tailored to SEN pupils

Adapt quickly to new classrooms, supporting learning in line with EHCPs and care plans

Collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff to ensure pupil progress

Build positive relationships with students to promote independence and confidence

Uphold safeguarding responsibilities as a Supply Teacher in SEN schools

What we're looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Confidence working in SEN schools and adapting to diverse needs

A flexible and positive attitude to working across different classes and schools

Willingness to obtain an enhanced Child and Adult DBS

Strong communication and collaboration skills
