In the heart of Watford Hertfordshire, an ‘Good’ Secondary School are on the hunt for an English Teacher that can teach up to GCSE. They are looking for an English Teacher to join them from January 2026 to cover a maternity cover (employed directly by the school)

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious English Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The school are well invested into the Education sector setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It’s an exciting time at the school!

* MPS-UPS -£34,398 - £52,490

* Located in Watford, Hertfordshire

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Must have QTS /QTLS

* Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs

* Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level

* You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers

* Must be willing to listen to feedback
