Business Development Manager – Construction Equipment Hire

Salary: Up to £55,000, Bonus & Company Car

A growing SME in the construction equipment hire sector is looking for a driven Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning new business in the construction industry.

This role is all about generating growth – opening doors, building relationships from scratch, and turning opportunities into long-term revenue.

The role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business across South London and the Home Counties. Success in this position will come from relentless prospecting, leveraging industry contacts, and consistently converting opportunities into profitable accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

* Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities.

* Using existing industry contacts to accelerate growth.

* Cold calling, visiting sites, and networking to build a strong pipeline.

* Negotiating and closing deals with contractors and decision-makers.

* Driving brand presence on construction sites across the region.

* Hitting and exceeding new business targets.

Candidate profile

* Proven track record of success in business development within hire or construction-related sales.

* Strong industry network and the ability to open doors.

* Highly motivated, target-driven, and resilient.

* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

* Confident communicator who thrives in a competitive environment.
