Express Recruitment are excited to be partnering with one of the most reputable names in the Print industry. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated and reliable individual to join the firm as a Trainee Flexographic Printer to work out of their facilities in South Leicestershire.

This is a full time, permanent position and the working hours consist of Double Days: 6AM – 1:20PM and 1:20PM-9:10PM rotating weekly.

You will begin on £12.21 per hour, however, once fully trained, you will have the opportunity to rapidly move up the pay scale and earn upwards of £38k. Roles & Responsibilities

* Learn how to operate 8/10 colours UV- MPS or Nilpeter Flexo Press, ensuring that designs are printed within a target time frame and to the customer's specification

* Shadow experienced Flexographic Printers to learn how to safely operate the Press

* Read and complete paperwork that specify the job requirements

* Ensure BRC Quality and Hygiene requirements are met and maintained

* Maintain a ‘safety first’ approach in all activities carried out

* Study all the working practices documented in the ‘Company Handbook’

* Collaborate with other members of the shop floor team, as well as assisting with other duties such as pre-press duties when working to a tight production deadline

* Ensure machine breakdowns and safety issues are reported to the Workshop Manager or Mentor

* Attend various on-site training sessions and practical workshops to improve knowledge and confidence

Skills & Experience

* NVQ Level 2 or above in Manufacturing or Engineering discipline desirable but not essential

* Confident working in a fast paced, KPI driven production environment

* ‘Can do’ attitude and willing to put time in to learning and development

* Flexible with shift work and overtime when required

* Interpersonal skills
