Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Projects

£70,000 to £75,000 + Package

Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Warrington. This is a key opportunity to be involved in major projects valued at £10 million and above, across multiple sectors. You will take responsibility for all commercial aspects of project delivery, from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong financial performance and effective risk management.

Responsibilities will include:

Overseeing all commercial functions on allocated projects, ensuring profitability and financial targets are achieved.
Preparing cost forecasts, budgets, cash flows, and accurate financial reporting.
Managing procurement, tendering, and subcontractor packages.
Administering contracts, variations, and claims in accordance with NEC and JCT forms.
Providing commercial leadership and support to project teams and senior management.
Building strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team.What you will need to succeed:

Demonstrable experience as a Senior QS working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
Proven background in delivering projects across education, healthcare, industrial, and custodial sectors.
Experience on schemes valued £10m+.
Excellent knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), ideally chartered or working towards RICS accreditation.What you get in return:
