Science Teacher - Doncaster

Academics, acting as an agency, are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher for a flexible, temporary ongoing position within secondary schools across Doncaster.

Position: Science Teacher (Qualified)
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Flexible working pattern, temporary ongoing
School: Supportive and inclusive secondary schools across Doncaster
Pay: £140 - £195 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of scientific discovery. This flexible role offers a great opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs to work across a range of schools in Doncaster, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

You will be joining schools that value innovation and creativity in teaching, with supportive departments committed to helping students achieve their best in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
Prepare and assess students for internal and external examinations.
Create a stimulating and safe laboratory environment.
Promote enthusiasm for Science through practical investigations and engaging resources.
Manage behaviour effectively and foster a positive learning culture.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils.

Candidate Requirements

✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).
✔ Degree in Science or a related subject.
✔ Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
✔ Ability to deliver lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (specialisms welcome).
✔ Strong classroom management and communication skills.
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
