SEMH Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Aylesbury

A supportive and welcoming primary school in Aylesbury is looking to appoint a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025. This full-time, long-term role involves working 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil who presents with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The school is seeking a resilient, proactive, and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting children with behavioural challenges and who is eager to develop their career in the field of Special Educational Needs.

The Role:

Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Aylesbury
Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Focus: 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with SEMH needs
Collaboration: Work closely with the Inclusion Manager
Training: Access to CPD and professional development opportunitiesIdeal Candidate:

Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant (preferably with SEMH)
Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
A positive, empathetic, and patient approach
Keen to grow professionally and contribute to a nurturing learning environment
