Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Greenwich

Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start | Mainstream Secondary School

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving mainstream secondary school in Greenwich. This full-time, long-term position is available for an immediate start and offers an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' learning and progress.

As a valued member of the school's support team, you will assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, lead small group or whole-class activities, and help to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will play an active role in promoting student achievement and fostering a positive classroom culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver small group and occasional whole-class sessions under the guidance of teaching staff

Support lesson planning, preparation, and assessment

Provide targeted intervention for students who need additional help

Contribute to behaviour management and pastoral care within the classroom

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance learning outcomes

Requirements:

HLTA qualification or equivalent classroom experience (essential)

Proven experience working with secondary-aged students

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

A proactive, confident, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
