William Morrow is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Associate Publishers of Fiction and Nonfiction across all Morrow imprints: Morrow, Dey St, Custom House, Avon and Harper Voyager. This position will assist the APs on all aspects of publishing franchise bestsellers, commercial and literary fiction, classics, celebrity memoir, narrative nonfiction, lifestyle, cookbooks, and self-improvement, including liaising with sales, marketing, publicity, editorial, art and production.




Supports two Associate Publishers with general administrative tasks – scheduling, expense reports, meetings.

Supports imprints with seasonal meeting preparation including agendas, packets and slides for launch, planning and sales conference, as well as regular weekly/monthly meetings.

Works with the Publishing Manager, liases with art, production, marketing, publicity, editorial and sales on AREs, galleys, and all collateral material needed for reps, booksellers, and consumers.

Works with the Publishing Manager, helps maintain seasonal list of library hardcovers, large print and ebook reups, as well as back ads and additional material added to paperback reprints. 

Works with Marketing team, coordinates monthly Indiebound mailings.

Coordinates Reading Materials across all imprints.


Prior internship experience in publishing and/or marketing

Ability to work collaboratively

A motivated self-starter with a love for books

Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills

Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

College degree or equivalent work experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

This role is currently based out of New York, New York. You will need to commute to the office when it reopens.
