Description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Housing Repairs Technician to join Ashfield Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You’ll carry out a wide range of painting, decorating and property maintenance tasks across Council-owned, private, tenanted and empty homes, as well as other Authority buildings. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where you’ll help maintain and improve housing standards while ensuring residents receive excellent service every time.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out all types of painting and decorating repairs and maintenance in a multi-skilled environment.

Diagnose remedial works, arrange appointments, and ensure materials are prepared in advance.

*

Complete all work on time, on the first visit wherever possible, and within agreed targets.

*

Undertake minor repairs across other trade areas where competent to do so.

*

Minimise disruption and ensure properties are left clean, tidy, and safe after work is completed.

*

Remove waste and debris responsibly in line with environmental and safety standards.

*

Assist with stock management, including end-of-year stocktaking and accurate record keeping.

About You

* Proven experience in painting, decorating, and general property maintenance.

*

A full UK driving licence.
