Quality Engineer required for my Herefordshire based client, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical products for the consumer market in relation to medical and healthcare sectors.

Primary Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer: 

As the Medical Device Directive changes to the Medical Device Regulations (MDR) it is imperative that company products & processes meet the requirements of MDR and ISO13485. My client are therefore looking for an individual to help ensure that they have a robust Quality Management System and that all areas of the business adhere to it.  This will involve maintaining Technical Files for MDR compliance and helping develop standardised ways of working and specifications for products both imported and manufactured.  This will heavily involve working with multiple departments and people and across two Herefordshire sites.

My client are therefore looking for an experienced Quality Engineer who has experience of updating & creating processes to meet ISO standards.  A pragmatic individual who understands the primary focus of the business is to help clients whilst being profitable, utilising simple processes and documentation to achieve this.  A team player, able to influence people at all levels.

Skills and Experience of the Quality Engineer: 

File organization and management
Working in a Quality Management System within a Manufacturing Environment.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 is essential.
Working knowledge of ISO 13485 would be desirable.
Auditing.
Understanding of Drawing Specification and Bills of Material.
Fundamental Quality Control Principles – Error Proofing, Goods in Inspection, Control Plans, FMEA.
Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation.
Reviewing systems and processes to ensure they are of the right standard and improving as necessary.
Continuous Improvement.
Ability to lead and influence.
