SEMH Learning Support Coach - Alternative Provision, Porchester

Location: Porchester Start Date: 13/10/2025 Pay: From £13.96/hr Contract: Supply - Potential Temp to Perm

Prospero Teaching are working with a nurturing alternative provision in Porchester that supports secondary-aged students with high anxiety and complex SEMH needs. They're looking for compassionate, resilient Learning Support Coaches to join their dedicated team and make a genuine impact.

This isn't just a support role-it's a chance to be a trusted adult for young people who've struggled to find their place in mainstream education. You'll help them feel safe, heard, and capable of growth.

Who Fits This Role?

Psychology or counselling
Youth work or mentoring
Sports coaching
Care or social work
Experience with SEN/SEMHWhat You'll Be Doing

Supporting students with high anxiety and SEMH needs
Using trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour
Building consistent, respectful relationships
Encouraging emotional regulation, self-esteem, and learning engagementWhat We're Looking For

A patient, empathetic, and flexible mindset
Experience with SEMH, anxiety, or communication challenges is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude
A commitment to helping students succeed-especially when it's toughRequirements

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
