School Chef – Wolverhampton (WV1) | £15.00 per hour | Pertemps Wolverhampton
Location: WV1, Wolverhampton (near City Centre)

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing

Working Hours: Monday to Friday + Sunday (see full schedule below)

About the Role
Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting for an experienced School Chef to work in a busy primary school kitchen located in Wolverhampton WV1, close to the city centre with excellent public transport links.

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking school meals from a set menu, including breakfast, lunch, and after-school club meals, ensuring high standards of food hygiene and quality are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook healthy school meals following a pre-set menu

Ensure all meals meet dietary, allergen, and portion requirements

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen

Work independently and manage time effectively

Support catering for breakfast, lunch, and after-school sessions

Requirements
✅ Fully Enhanced DBS certificate (essential)

✅ Previous experience working as a School Chef, School Cook, or Catering Assistant in an educational setting

✅ Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and kitchen safety regulations

✅ Strong organisational and communication skills

Shift Pattern

Monday: 2:00pm – 8:00pm

Tuesday: 10:00am – 8:00pm

Wednesday: 10:00am – 8:00pm

Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Sunday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
