We're working with a well-established Local Authority in the North East who are seeking to recruit a Housing Management Officer to join their busy Housing Tenancy Management Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal and organisational skills who is passionate about supporting communities and delivering high-quality housing services.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a designated patch of housing properties, ensuring effective tenancy and estate management.
Work closely with tenants, residents, councillors, and partner organisations to promote inclusive, sustainable communities.
Handle tenancy issues including anti-social behaviour, breaches of tenancy, and property condition concerns.
Support new tenant sign-ups, tenancy visits, and estate inspections.
Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to resolve issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.What We're Looking For

Previous experience in housing management, tenancy support, or a similar local authority role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with members of the public.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A motivated team player with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
Ability to work independently, manage a varied workload, and meet deadlines.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the nature of the role.Contract length: 3-6 months (with expectation of an ongoing extension)

Rate of Pay: £16.10-£20.46

Hours: Full time, 37 hours each week.
