Business Development Manager – Engineering
Location: Basildon, Essex | Hybrid Working
Salary: £45,000 – £70,000 basic + Commission

Are you a dynamic sales professional with a passion for technical products and engineering solutions? We’re representing a well-established UK engineering company seeking a driven Business Development Manager to help expand their client base and strengthen relationships across key sectors.

This company has built a strong reputation over 50+ years as a trusted supplier of high-quality sensors, transducers, and precision instrumentation used across aerospace, defence, automotive, and manufacturing industries. They’re known for their reliability, innovation, and customer-first approach.

The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and developing long-term partnerships. You’ll combine technical understanding with commercial insight to deliver tailored solutions to clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and win new business opportunities across target sectors.

*

Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts.

*

Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations.

*

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met.

*

Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the engineering, manufacturing, or technical product sectors.

*

Strong technical understanding and the ability to interpret client needs.

*

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

*

A proactive, self-motivated approach with a track record of achieving results.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
