Hygiene Supervisor (Food Production)

Frampton on Severn

£26,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 40 hrs a week. Salaried role with additional hours worked paid as overtime.

Hygiene Supervisor sought within a speciality food producer offering training and development opportunities in a close knit team environment. Training will be provided where needed for the successful candidate.

The Hygiene Supervisor role will suit an experienced Hygiene professional with their level 2 food safety qualification. Experienced in cleaning processes for dry environments is advantageous but those with experience in wet environments will still be considered. You will have a basic understanding of mechanical components and basic mechanical knowledge for cleaning of machinery would be advantageous. You will have experience leading a small team OR the confidence to step into this role. You will issue training and mentorship to ensure all work is done to a high standard. You will have full working knowledge of Quality and Health and Safety procedures within a food processing environment. Support towards formal certifications and internal structured training can be made available where needed for the right person!

The core function of the Hygiene Supervisor role will be to oversee the Quality and Health and Safety procedures of the processing plant and manage a small team of 5 hygiene professionals to maintain these procedures to a high standard. You will issue training and mentoring to your team members and look to continuously improve policies and procedures. You will be required to breakdown some minor mechanical systems on occasion for deep cleans.

The company have 2 sites in the Gloucestershire region which process a specialist food item providing for a variety of commercial food producers and independent artisan food creators. Some travel between sites will be required on occasion.

The role in brief:

The person needed:

* Experienced Hygiene professional with their level 2 food safety qualification.

* Experience leading a small team issuing training and mentorship OR the confidence to step into this role.

* Full working knowledge of Quality and Health and Safety procedures within a food processing environment.

* Willingness to travel between sites on occasion as required and work out of hours if needed in emergency situations. Additional hours worked will be paid as overtime
