All About the Role

Based at our Dartford site, we have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative on the night shift – 4 days per week, the hours are Monday to Thursday 6 pm to 6 am, plus overtime when required.

The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. Specific tasks could include:

Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
Operate saws and handle steel
Transferring stock to its location using Forklift trucks & overhead gantry cranes
Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements

You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.

Essential Skills for the role:

Ideally have experience with steel stock holding.
Must have experience in overhead gantry cranes.
Experience with bandsaws/similar machinery but not essential as training will be given.
Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
Ideally have operated Fork-Lift or Side-loader but not essential as training will be given.
Health & Safety awareness.
