Description

Our client is a Global International Freight Forwarder, specialising within the Far East, USA as their main areas. Now due to expansion we are now recruiting for an Ocean Export Operator to join the team at the Birmingham location

Your role will involve:

* Developing and building relationships with sea freight customers
* Ensure freight is moved on time with all the necessary documentation
* Arrange haulage with shipping lines
* Ensure all freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch
* Ensure all relevant documents are on hand as required
* Ensure requests and queries are resolved and actioned quickly and efficiently
* Communicate with overseas agents, customers and suppliers in a clear precise manner

In order to apply you will have:

* Experience of Ocean freight forwarding
* Sea Freight Exports
* Used to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines
* Strong numerical and commercial skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office)
* Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills
* Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
