We are looking to recruit a Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities Team within the Social Care Industry. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. North Somerset is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing a number of changes focussed on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Achieving for Children 

Main duties include:

You will work with them, their families and other agencies to meet their assessed needs and support them to achieve their potential.
Include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection, as well as young people preparing for adulthood.
Will have a Social Work qualification and an understanding of the impact of disability on children’s lives.
Be passionate about making a difference, and able to use creative and personalised approaches alongside the team’s Signs of Safety and My Plan approach to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Be able to work in partnership with disabled children and their families, as well as colleagues in Education, Health, the Voluntary & Community sector, wider Children’s and Lifelong Services
Must be passionate about making a difference and able to use creative and personalised strengths-based approaches alongside the team’s embedded Signs of Safety work to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Be able to work in partnership with disabled children and their families

Minimum Requirements:

SWE Registration
3 year post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
