Job Title:** Mechanical Fitter

📍 **Location:** Saint Austell

💷 **Pay Rate:** £300p/day

🕒 **Hours:** 45hours Weekly

📆 **Duration:** 2 Months

Overview

Active (Pathways) Solutions are seeking skilled and motivated National Grid Authorised Mechanical Fitters to join our team. You’ll be supporting a range of substation project in Saint Austell contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-voltage electrical works.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* 📋 Valid and up-to-date documentation – including CSCS/ECS card, Safety Passport, and relevant National Grid Person Authorisations

* ⚡ Proven substation experience – previous work on National Grid, Scottish Power or DNO sites is essential.

* 🧾 Verifiable references – able to provide evidence of experience and competency within the substation or high-voltage industry.

We’re Looking for Individuals Who:

* ⚙️ Show excellent attention to detail – ensuring precision, quality, and safety at all times.

* 🤝 Work effectively as part of a team – collaborating with multi-discipline site crews.

* 🧠 Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills – adapting confidently to changing site conditions.

Desirable Additional Qualifications

Having any of the following would be an advantage:

* IPAF (MEWP)

* Telehandler (CPCS or NPORS)

* PASMA

* First Aid

* Manual Handling

* Abrasive Wheels

* Other relevant industry-related courses
