About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the financial and commercial management of major infrastructure and energy projects across the Highlands. This is a chance to play a key role in strengthening Scotland’s energy network and supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero.

You’ll manage the full commercial lifecycle — from tendering and contract negotiation through to delivery and reporting — on complex, high-value projects worth many tens of millions of pounds. As a key member of the project leadership team, you’ll ensure financial success and drive excellence across all commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the commercial management of large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.

* Oversee project finances, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.

* Provide strategic input as part of the senior leadership team.

* Develop and mentor a high-performing commercial team.

* Liaise with clients and partners to ensure commercial success and strong relationships.

About You

* Proven track record in managing complex, high-value projects in the construction or infrastructure sectors.

* Strong commercial acumen with expertise in cost management, contract negotiation, and supply chain leadership.

* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

* Chartered Member or Fellow of RICS, ICES, or CIOB, and committed to supporting professional development in others.

What’s on Offer

* Competitive salary + car or car allowance

* 37.5-hour working week (Monday to Friday)

* Pension scheme: up to 5% employee / 7% employer contributions

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

* Family-friendly policies including:

* 28 weeks full pay for maternity/adoption leave

* 4 weeks full pay for paternity/partner leave

* Access to learning and professional development opportunities

* Employee Assistance Programme for health and wellbeing support

* Volunteering leave: up to 2 paid days per year
